Trekking in M'Goun in October

We want to thank you for helping us organize this trip. Although we chose an unusual time for a trek around M'Goun we had an amazing time, thanks to our guide Brahim. He took care of everything in a very friendly and relaxed way. We spent 9 great days in the mountains, did treks including valleys, gorges, villages and although we didn't reach the summit, because of snow and quickly changing weather on the day of ascent, it didn't spoil the fun and we absolutely enjoyed every moment spent there. It was one of the best experiences we've ever had.

From New Zealand to Morocco

New Zealander Kathy Ombler did a combined Desert Tour and Trek with Trek Atlas in November 2010. To find out more and read her comments, download the illustrated article she wrote about her experience for Fortify magazine. Download the article here.

A two family trek

Trekking in the Atlas mountains with children combined adventure with additional responsibilities. Ahmed Zin, our experienced guide from Trek Atlas, and his colleague, Hassan Bassaid, with the team of cuisinier and muleteers understood how to make the trek enjoyable for our families. They inspired confidence immediately by their caring approach and their attention to safety.

February in the Atlas

I had a wonderful time and did some lovely walks. Thank you for helping me to organise the trip. I hope to come back in the summer for another trip. Aoife

From Spain to M'Goun Summit

Anastasia.

A 6 day trek including Toubkal

Having successfully completed our trek with Trek Atlas (6 days from 10/06 until 16/06), and returned home from Morocco, we wanted to provide some feedback. We completed a 6 day trek with Trek Atlas from 10/06 until 16/06/2011. Our original aim was to do the Toubkal circuit via Lac D'Ifni and climb Toubkal. Unfortunately there was still too much snow on some of the high passes at this time (and therefore they were impassable for mules), but Ahmed was able to agree with us an alternative route that was to be very interesting / challenging and still combined it with the Toubkal ascent.

From the USA to the Atlas Mountains with Trek Atlas

Coloradan Tom, Virginian Ron, Kansan Steve, and Texan Jim were Morocco bound when we signed up for a seven-day trek in the Atlas Mountains of Morocco in October 2009. The objectives were to claim Africa as another continent under our hiking boots and to climb the 13,665-ft Jebel Toubkal, the tallest mountain in North Africa. Trek Atlas : a high mountain trek in the Atlas Mountains of Morocco

Trek-Atlas-046.jpg
With the increase in direct flights to Morocco, more and more people are visiting not only the tourist coastal resorts of Agadir and Essouaria, but are flying into Marrakech to experience the sights and sounds of the bazaars and souks – so different from anything in Europe.

A Day in the Life of….Trek Atlas

Trek-Atlas-038.jpg
What is it really like trekking in the High Atlas mountains of Morocco? In May 2008 a group of us found out when we did a 6 day trek from Imlil with Ahmed as our guide. It was our first experience of a “guided tour” and we had no regrets at the end.
